Carbal has a team of dedicated, qualified and caring AHW’s working across both Toowoomba & Warwick.
The primary role of the AHW is to provide primary health care screening for all patients attending the clinics and they can also provide:

- Chaperone for appointments;
- Immunisations and assisting in the treatment room as part of the nursing team;
- Social and emotional wellbeing and support

Aboriginal Health Workers and Practitioners make a vital contribution to health care in our community and across Australia.
AHP’s are required to hold a Certificate IV in Primary Healthcare Practice and are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
AHW’s and AHP’s work with communities, families and individuals of all ages to improve the health of all who access the clinic by providing culturally safe and holistic health care.
