Deadly Focussed Psychological Strategies CPD focuses on:
- Social & Emotional Wellbeing
- Consumer and Carer Participation
- Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), and
- Narrative Therapy (NT)
Deadly FPS CPD is available now via Carbal’s online learning platform.
The training is RACGP, ACRRM and GPMHSC accredited for the 2023 – 25 triennium for the following categories:
- Educational Activity: 5 hrs
- Reviewing Performance: 3.5 hrs
Course Overview
Who Can Enrol?
Focussed Psychological Strategies CPD has been specifically developed for the benefit of current General Practitioners and Allied Health Professionals (Mental Health) in Australia.
This course can be completed as a stand alone or as a secondary to our FPS Skill Training (25 hour). There is no prerequisite to register and complete the course.
Course Duration
Deadly FPS CPD is an 8.5-hour learning package.
The entire course is required to be completed within 3 months of enrolling.

What is the Difference Between FPS Skills Training
& FPS Continuing Professional Development?
FPS CPD extends the skills in the provision of Focussed Psychological Strategies (FPS), developed from evidence-based psychological interventions.Â
FPS CPD courses build on the skills acquired through FPS ST and is a requirement per triennium to maintain your Level 2 Mental Health Skill Training qualification.

To obtain your initial Level 2 Mental Health Skills Training you need to complete the FPS Skills Training Course.

Professional attendance at consulting rooms by a general practitioner, for providing focussed psychological strategies for assessed mental disorders by a general practitioner registered with the Chief Executive Medicare as meeting the credentialling requirements for provision of this service, and lasting at least 30 minutes, but less than 40 minutes.
Item 2723
As above, but at a place other than consulting rooms.
Item 2725
Professional attendance at consulting rooms by a general practitioner, for providing focussed psychological strategies for assessed mental disorders by a general practitioner registered with the Chief Executive Medicare as meeting the credentialling requirements for provision of this service, and lasting at least 40 minutes.
Item 2727
As above, but at a place other than a consulting room.
