Carbal Reaches Out to Community

Regional and remote communities are bound not to miss the Indigenous Health Mobile Training Unit.

The joint initiative of the University of Queensland and Carbal Medical Centre is all about providing culturally safe, primary health care with a holistic approach to early detection and prevention to Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander communities outside of Toowoomba.

In conjunction with local Aboriginal Medical Service provider, Carbal Medical Services, a GP, registered nurse and primary health workers, will staff the clinic.

Inside, there is a GP room, a registered nurse room and a small kitchenette, while outside a fully enclosed annexe will provide a waiting area complete with TV.
