Carbal Medical Services: Our Story

Carbal Medical Services is an Aboriginal Medical Service (AMS) that tailors its clinics and services to meet the needs of the local population in Toowoomba and Warwick. Carbal acknowledges all support provided by the Federal and State government Departments of Health and our many partners.

Our service is dedicated to improving the prevention and management of chronic disease through early intervention and improved access to culturally appropriate medical services.

Established in 2002, Carbal originated from the efforts of local Aboriginal residents to establish a culturally-appropriate and safe health service in Toowoomba that could comprehensively address the specific health needs of our people. Carbal Medical Services is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Health Care Organisation (ACCHO).
